A. Kanhar Barrage Project envisages construction of a barrage across KanharRiver near Khuri village to impound the water up to the Full Reservoir Level(FRL) of EL. 368.60 m. This will enable diversion of river water to the Main trunk canal (MTC) through right bank. A 17.10 km long Main Trunk Canal(MTC) originates from the right bank, upstream of the barrage and shallterminate in reservoir upstream of Lawadoni village after negotiating of a fallof 60.0m. An Earthen Barrage (29.58 m height) with a ungated chute spillway, located on right bank, has been proposed at Lawadoni.
